Im running 07 Hayes 9 on my new Bullit. I recently purchased some cheap "discobrakes" brand pads off ebay, they are advertised as soft for DHing. Rightly so aswell as they do have a bit more bite than the original pads that come with my Hayes 9. On saying that though they seem to wear quick and they run a bit weird?
To be honest i thought my 9s felt a bit weak, i didnt realise they didn't have the "gold sintered pads" in em already.
So after all my gas bagging i was just wondering if the gold sintered are the way to go on a FR Bullit with 8" rotors??

I switched out my sintered pads for Galfer Reds. Lots of bite, better modulation. Only been a few months so I don't know how long they'll last.

If you get Galfers, make sure you ckean the hole in the back of the pads really good - down to the metal, get ALL the paint out. This will allow the pads to sit on the piston pin correctly.
Also sanding down the pads a tad will help. They run a bit tight at first.
And you have to take the springs off the old pads.

just some small tradeoffs for much improved performance.
