United States Postal Service - $35 from GA to OR, $29 GA to CO

www.usps.com
did you ship it in an original box, i.e. one that actually used to contain a bike?

#1: FedEx. Never had a problem, and they are much cheaper than USPS when it comes to what is considered oversized.

#2: USPS. Have had good luck, sometimes amazing shipping, but their oversized limits are not that big, and they stab you hard. Also have taken long to send priority; 14 days one time.

#3: UPS. Horrible. Damaged more bikes than I can remember (friends', too). Will not take bikes out of my local port but will deliver them no problem. That inconsistency irks me. But I was told my a ups inspector on a recent damage claim visit, that if you pay online and print out a label and slap it on the box, a UPS driver can/will/must pick it up on his route = bypass the ups center if they're a-holes like mine.

But why mess with #3 when FedEx blows them all away.
bingo

Fed Ex all the way.

recently shipped a bike to Texas from Kentucky via Fed Ex Ground. It cost $20 and took two or three days. I charged the buyer (sold it on ebay) $40 shipping & handling because and feel that's fair because I spent more that $20 of my time and effort packing it properly and getting it to FedEx.

UPS tends to be about twice as expensive and almost twice as slow.

I've never shipped USPS because their oversize dimensions are too small and therefore the last time a got a quote from them to send a bike it was even more expensive than UPS. (FYI - I like to send the smaller packages via USPS)

Since FedEx is very reliable and very inexpensive, I recommend them!
