I'd take Hope Mono M4, Juicy 7s, or Shimano Saints. Haven't ridden the other brakes, and i just don't like Hayes.

If you know it is a personal preference, then you know you are going to get every single one answered then what is the point? Why not turn it into a poll being "what brakes do you use" and go from there.

I like the Magura Gustavs.

And you should probably add Brembo to your list.......

Brembo's stop before the dime....I get off my bike...pick up the dime...and ride away .10cents richer.

Now I just gotta learn how to stop before $20 bills so I can finally pay for these things.

If u are one of the locky one that bought thos "old" Shimano XT M756 for 100-120bux new back on 03 u must agree with me... they are one of the BEST brakes ever and can pass the 'dime test' with A+ .

old school

by far the best brakes are none of those. the old broom stick with a leather shoe works best in all condtitions.

Also, what fork, would like, work best with the brembos?
One that shows off brake dust well?

So Brembo enters the mtb brake market( )....I bet those things will be cheap....

Holy Hell! There is a thread in the brake forum about them. $1000 a wheel? Gimme a break.......
