I spilled mineral oil all over my stock Shimano XT M755 metallic disc break pads and replaced them with some Koolstops. However, their stopping performance doesn't seem as strong as the Shimanos when I tried them out at Bromont DH park.

What are your favorite XT disc pads for strong braking, low squealing?

You could try

Stock pads, with one "organic" compound on one side and "Metal" on the other, that is the way my XTR brakes came, but once you "heat glaze" the pads, you just can't get them to stop squeeking, squiellen, and generally annoying you. I know cause that is what my XT's are doing.

Just use stock pads, cost too much, but only thing that works, new pads everytime they squeek.
