Has anyone ever bent a crankarm? I am pretty sure that I bent the drive side arm last night. My pedal is now sitting crooked and I am not too happy. I am currently 5' 10" , 283 and I just have an older bike. I have been trying to convince my better half that I need a new bike and now I think I have a good excuse.

Yes, two within a month of each other. Then bought a new bike that was clyde worthy. Made a lot of calls about fixing the bent crank and found out that it was going to cost me more to fix the bike than it was worth. I was told that I needed DH crank set. So far rhe new bike holding up, besides a bent ring on my rear cassette, my fault.

My friend just bent one. He weighs 240. The bike was a yr old(rockhopper)and he doesnt ride very aggressive either. I'm pretty sure it was a truvative. He bought a XT crankset to replace it.
