Bend ride pictorial

Todd (tberg), Justin, and I rode Ben's-Skyliner-Tumalo Creek-Farewell-Mrazek today from Bend. It ended up being about 40 miles, 3600' climbing. Finally we had sunny skies and perfect temps (mid '60's). What a day.

Those who know the route will see that the pics are all out of order, but I didn't feel like sorting them out.

Thanks to whomever made all of those nice, bermed turns.

 I'm glad. 6 inches of travel helps I bet. :D

I'm more impressed by the mileage. I can't talk any of my buddies into going much over 20... :madman:
I'm glad the guy in pic 2 of post 22222 managed to finish the ride after getting that big tree up his nose.:D
Very picturesque .
In case you didn't already know....
I LOVE THAT LOOP!

Looks like all the snow is gone from Farewell to Mrazek already. Missed it by a couple weeks...
But, it does look a bit more dusty.

I recognized most all the pics but where's that rock rollover? Looks like the rocky section in the middle of Mrazek? Before the bar chopper trees and it crosses the road?

The little connector from Shevlin is a blast too. I wonder if anyone has ever been able to ride up it all the way?

Thanks for the pics.
Sweet! Only been to Bend once, good stuff.

Monte
Looks good...

I have been wanting to do that loop for a while. This just might inspire me.

What section had the closed sign on it?

The downhill-only section is a brand new singletrack high up on Mrazek at the canyon. It bypasses a lot of the 2-track. It's twisty and bermed, and exits at the three-way (now four-way) intersection. I'm not sure which route I like better yet, because that 2-track descent is so fast with kicker jumps along the way. It's nice having route options.
Great pics! Looks like a great ride.
That's one heck of a snot rocket!!

LOL. I was thinking the same thing.

Great looking ride.
ahhhhh

I tried using breathe-easy strips but after 3600' i found the only thing that helps open up my big shnoz is piece of timber.
