wow - that's amazing that they are still having trouble with that spot by the BB ... you managed to get that to crack in just a year's riding? what type of mileage do you rack up, and how much to you weigh? ( if you don't mind me asking ) Also, that wasn't caused by impact right? ( be honest! )

My older 2007 frame cracked there, as well as number of others I've seen posted here, but that's the first new style frame I've seen. Too bad, you like to see weaknesses in design ( is that fair? ) go away as frames move to "next generation".

On average I ride National (longer rides in the winter & shorter in the summer) at South Mtn 3 days a week year round. Lately me riding rate is ~195lbs...

No it was not caused by a crash or driving over the frame with a car. I have no idea how you would impact the frame in that area?

This is the first post I've seen of this type of failure on the newer frame as well.

Interesting. I wasn't thinking you impacted the frame at that spot ... but maybe a terrible pedal strike .. or something, i don't know. just wanted to be sure it was caused by normal use. You understood.

Like I said, too bad. ( for you and Yeti ) Hopefully its a rare exception, but it worries me to see that same point of failure in the new frames too.
