Beav's Pump Track Article

Anyone see the new MBA with Ryan "Beavis" Finney's pump track article? The Beav is coming up! And the article is really good. I don't know who helped him write it but it's well written, has lots of good information, and it's entertaining. Plus, the photos are awesome! (Disclaimer: I might have had something to do with the photos)

Now you can all go ahead and start slamming pump track riding again. But consider who you're talking about. Both Beav and Lopes can whoop pretty much any of you, on any kind of terrain, on any day :D

And I can go huge on a curb.

im way jelous of that yard
Weir does have it good.
If there are people who are slamming pump tracks, they just don't know what they're talking about. Riding a pump track is a MAJOR way to improve your skills. Mick Hannah rode a pump track during the off season, and came back to rule Sea Otter...1st in DH, 1st in DS, 2nd in MTX, 1st Omnium.....not too shabby!
cool article and nice wrting......but kids....say no to pump tracks
I'm just glad someone explained exactly what pumping is and how you do it. It's kinda funny how some of the more informative MBA articles are distillations of weeks-old mtbr threads.

What's really funny is that the pumptrack thread you refer to was started the day we were up at Weir's. So the article was actually in the works before that thread was started. But there was definitely some synchronicity happening. Because I was up there all day shooting. And I'd never seen a pump track before. And then when I got home there was this pump track thread on the forum. Kinda weird, huh?
PJ you are one lost sole
Damn, I can't wait till I get my copy! Sounds like a great article!

Hmmm...had you been actively keeping up on Leelikesbikes.com you would of heard of pump tracks and how to build them since November 2005.

Rock on Lee! :cornut:
