Thinking about heading up that way soon. How is the trail? Did it survive the dealuge's from earlier this summer? Road in ok?

I don't have any recent updates on Bear Pete specifically, but I've heard all the trails have been cleared. Warren Wagon Rd is open up there. Probably the Payette NF is the best info at this point.

Thanks for the reply Wayne. We rode it on Saturday. There were 10-12 logs down though most in areas we were hike-a-bike'n anyway. Otherwise, it was a great day. We took the 142 all the way out north to the French Creek Road. Very sweet way down (no Pete creek jackhammer, or the other bobseld like route). About 8 miles on the road back to BD and hot springs. Loon yesterday was very nice too. 1 log on the upper trail as you climb out of the medow where the Ruby trail splits.

Sounds like it was in pretty good shape then. A friend rode the south part as an out and back Friday and didn't mention any logs down.

Sounds like fun....a TVTMA group a few summers back got caught out while clearing Bear Pete, Victor Crk, etc.....over 100+ trees down...ended up spending a frigid night trailside.

I rode the north part this weekend and it had been cleaned up pretty well- only 1 or 2 trees down. We dropped down Pete Creek though and didn't finish all the upper singletrack.
