Riding Fat Bikes ( and one semi-fat bike) on the Washington Coast. This is ride #1 of our trip ('bout a week ago). Out to Damon Point & back - a spit jetting out into Greys Harbor. Just a relaxed pace beach combing ride and a beer a piece out at the point. rides #2 & #3 to follow.

Here's ride #2. 24miles of sand. From Ocean Shores to the Copalis River (and the Green Lantern Tavern) and back.
-Cheers!

Definitely a different kind of riding. Looks fun though! Do you ever ride the fatties in the snow? I think there are quite a few fattie riders over in MN. Thanks for sharing!!

Gary J.
Yes Gary, I sure do. Lots of snow, packed snowmobile track,etc... around here. Not sure why FB's haven't caught on out here yet. Takes cyclists a while to come around to new things. I take mine to the local ski area and ride the Nordic Track after 3:30 (they wont let me on before that... and they groom every morning) Great after skiing activity!

Generally called "Fat Bikes". A bit heavy for road or packed dirt, but in they're ellement they seem very light. Basically a "High Floatation" set-up for bicycles I'm running as low as 4psi ft. and 5.5psi Rr. in the soft sand... Take the "forum jump" to the fat bikes forum right here on mtbr for tons of info... carefull... super fun stuff, kind of addicting, big smile factor!
