hey guys, ive got an '03 norco VPS Team-race frame & need to get a bottom bracket for it. its meant to run a 113X68mm but ive found an awesome deal on a 118X68mm. will it still work? what will the difference between the 113 & the 118 be? any feed back is much appreciated

right. sprocket hole diameter...more commonly referred to as BCD (Bolt circle diameter)
I know you mean well but check out park tools website or Sheldon browns or get the art of bicycle maintenance and you'll learn some terminology rather than guess. There's a lot of great resources and you obviously like bikes and so you'll get there quickly. It's also a lot of fun and a steep learning curve.

The 68 is the BB shell size and the other number is the axle length. The crank arm length is what you thought that number was initially and the BCD is also a reference to a specific measurement pertaining to the cranks, not BB. I hope that helps!
