Hey everyone,

I've got a 2000 Giant XtC SE1 frame and I need to get a BB for it. Does anyone know where I can find out the BB size for this frame?

TIA!
depends more upon the crank model than the frame for the spindle length... you do need to measure the BB width (either 68 or 73mm wide). Ideally you could pull the cranket & measure spindle width.
Are you replacing the BB and keeping the crankset?

So, it's the raceface prodigy? octalink or square taper?

of course, giant doesn't have that info readily available on their old website.

Square Taper

Thanks - I want a replacement that is a square taper to match a crankset I have. The BB on the frame now is the splined type shimano. I don't know if that is what you call octalink, but it does have 8 splines. Used to be connected to XT HollowTech cranks which are now on another bike.
