There's nothing wrong with some oil coming out the air valve. The interior of the air chamber is lubricated with heavy gear oil that's just loose in there. When you don't get any oil coming out, or worse, when you don't see little oil lines on the external shaft, then it's time to do an overhaul and put in some more lubricant The overhauls are quite easy.PAINpusher said:I had a feeling something was wrong with my RP3 when I recieved my new bike last week, the blue PP lever has sort of a "grinding" feeling when you move it, and you can't move it without it dragging the compression dial, but since this is my 1st RP3, I couldn't be sure.
But now I know there is a problem, I added some air to it last night and oil came leaking out of the air valve. Bummer. I have heard great things about Fox's CS though, so I don't think it will take long to get me running again.
I didn't know RP3's had a "compression dial" other than the PP lever. You sure you don't mean the rebound dial?
