I was thinking of building an elevated wood track thing in my backyard, and have for sometime now. Id be working in a space about 40 feet wide and 80 feet long and could have a starting platform. Not sure if my pops would be so pleased with me doing that, but woods free on craigslist and I got nothing better to do:thumbsup:

When I was a young my father encouraged me to build anything and everything I could dream up. I fugure it was a pretty effective way to keep me out of trouble. At one time I had a full scale BMX track minus a starting gate. He was always very supportive of my creativity. It didn't hurt having 5 acres of land either. If he'll support, Go for it!

If he is into it make sure you clean up everything every day. The actual bridges are not that bad, but he will defiinetly get pissed at tools and scrap wood just laying in his yard. I had an acre growing up and my dad loved me building stupid things,as long as all the tools were put away.
