Back in the saddle...

Finally got back on the bike today after probably my longest hiatus from riding in the last year- it's been about 3 weeks since I last rode. It was equal parts fun and equal parts sucky due to the frigid temps. I'm in Frederick and we still have some snow in the woods and with the ground frozen there was a lot of "crunch, crunch" as I weaved my way around. All in all it was better than the alternative, not riding, I just think I need some new gloves as my fingers were frozen. I had some thin fleece gloves on, but think mittens might serve me better. When it gets above 45 degrees I'll get the riding gloves back out.

Depends on which way the trail faces, the north facing trails have about 3 inches of snow, while the warm side is completely snow free.
