I bought a pair of these things like 2 months ago and man there tough. There great man they breath good and there just a great short.

Yes they are great and they will soften. I have the older black ones for a while now.

I too rock these badboys. I bought a pair on sale and was pleasently surprised at the great fit, sizing and ventilation. I highly recommend these shorts over the others I've tried, Roach and Core Rat.

Definitely some of the best shorts around, but I prefer last years model. In 2004 they changed the ratchet buckle system to velcro, which I can't imagine will hold up as well over time. They haven't updated this info on their site, but I saw them at my LBS.
