They seem to be very similar devices, but is their performance the same? Most reviews I have seen on them seem to be good, just wondering which one to try.

Looking for improved small bump response and mid stroke support on 150mm Pikes. Trails mostly undulating rooty stuff and a 'lightish' rider.

They appear functionally identical and probably perform very similarly. I doubt anyone has compared both directly. I would get the one that offers better support for your location.

I agree. I am in the UK, so you would have thought a Awk from Germany would be the best option. Now that blooming Brexit has happened I am not sure it even possible buy from an EU country! Some internet shops can't be bothered with the hassle.

I though I would ask the question just in case the seals are more reliable or friction free on one type or the other.

It's a very loose answer to your question, but I put a RUNT in my Fox36, and I like it a lot.

I agree with Cary. DSD being located in Durango, CO (USA) might be a hassle should you need anything beyond exchanging emails.
AWK being in Germany might be a better option as they are on your side of the pond.

I'd be shocked if you ever found a single person outside of a PinkBike reviewer that had held both in their hands.
