Avid Juicy's, Big price drop for 07'.

QBP got 07' Juicy's in last week, I was surprised to find that there is a big price drop vs. last year. They've also gone back to the round clean-sweep style rotor. 07' Juicy 7 will be about the same price as 06' Juicy 5's. 07' Juicy 5's will drop also, and the new Juicy Ultimate is approx. the same price as the 06' Juicy Carbon. COOL! Nice to see something actually drop in price for a change instead of increasing.

Awesome news Larry!!! I might be tempted to give them a try :D

Cheers,
Cris
Any news on the '07 BB7 mechs? Will they go back to clean-sweep also?
Wise move Avid.

Not so much for the price drop (which is cool), but thank you for putting an end to all the rotor issues and specing the trusty round rotors again. IMO, form should follow function. Man are you gonna sell a lot of brakes.

any pricing on the avid codes yet?
Looks like about $230 msrp, about the same retail price as the 06' Juicy 7.

I think I may have to sell my J7s and buy the Code...
err so does that mean the Ultimates will soon be available?
When is the ultimate available? As for pricing...I guess this question is for Larry, the MSRP of the 07 Ultimates is similar to the 06 J7 prices (based on the QBP wholesale pricing you've got)? I might be interested in getting myself some 07 Ultimates to replace my hope mono minis. I can't resist the CARBON.

QBP's estimated delivery date is in about 1 week, but those dates are not always accurate sometimes for various reasons. MSRP is listed as $280 per brake on the Ultimate.

Do you have the 07 juicy 7s yet? My HFX-9s aren't cutting it.

Someone fill me in here, would ya'?!?!

Advertising - how is it that there have been "scraps" of info here and there about them, yet Avid/Sram has nothing "official" on the website yet? Wouldn't they want to be advertising all over and up-the-ying-yang with these coming out .... errr, now available?

Maybe a cost saving measure? :skep:

Anyone one at all - some logic would be appreciated on this matter, despite it's lack of great importance.

Oh, btw, Larry - you got an e-mail. I really hope you get this one. (crosses fingers)

I am looking for some BB7 Mechs as well. What is the price on these?
So when do these become available to the great unwashed?! And more to the point, what are the 2006 models going to start selling for?! ;)
I just bought a set of BB7 Mechs on Ebay for $129. That is still probably a lower price then avid will ever make them
Hmm, more interested in seeing what happens to the 2006 Juicys (juicies?!) - Speedgoat already has 2007 models listed on their site. 2007 Juicy 7s are $164, and 2007 Juicy 5s are $132. No sign of the Ultimates, or the Codes though...
Codes and Ultimates are now showing up through QBP. Price isn't that much higher than the J7.
