Avid Juicy hose cutting

Anyone have experience & tips shortening the brakes hoses on Avid Juicy brakes?
Any bleeding tips, which I assume I will have to do upon reinstalling the hoses?
Are the provided instructions complete?

Hmmm?

Quite the frustrating experience there.
Dare i attempt to do this?
Hopefully the hose length will be acceptable as is.
Keep you all posted when I decide to give it a shot.
