Any reason I cant put avid code brakes on my stumpjumper FSR EVO?

I am a clyde, and a long downhill "25 minutes" seemed to cook the exliar 5.

Since the front brake is for controlling speed, you could use a Code up front with a 203 rotor. There is no need for Code power on the rear of that bike.

Agree with consistancy. Try out diff front tires for that extra grip too.

I do have 200mm up front now,(avid 5) and the bike does stop, just seems I am taxing the system, I have turned my rotors black, maybe thats the usual?
