Thinking about upgrading my v-brakes. It was mentioned that the Avid 2.0 is a good system. Anyone using them? Are they comparable to any of the Shimano product lines?

Avids are less likely to make noise, just toe in the pads a bit. The Shimanos use a linkage where the toe in becomes critical. After you wear out your pads get a set of koolstop pads, they work way better. Have fun!
