I've just bought ASX '05 frame, still waiting for it. I am going to build it up in the next few weeks and I don;t know which front der. will fit.

On the one hand yeti says here : "34.9mm Clamp
Low mount
Bottom pull
"
on the other hand here it says Front der Sram X-gen, which is clearly a top mount der. So, will the X-gen fron der (e.g. X7) fit ASX?

btw. Untill I sell my previous frame I have to stick with PIKE as the front shock. Is this going to be rideable, not too steep head angle?

Nope. Mistake on Yeti page. 2006 Freeride kit have LX FD.

Go with 6" in the rear.

x-gen are both top and bottom pull, the thing is they are not low mount (shimano call it top-swing)
