Please help me out here
I have just bought a brandnew 2007 ASR-SL with carbon rear triangle and a 2008 Fox RP23.Yeti told me that this is the last ones made in USA,from 2008 they make it in Taiwan.
Now im wondering if i should keep the 2007 or return it and pay 600dollars more to get a 2008?????

Any idea???
Is the 2008 much lighter??
My 2007 weighs 2180 gram without seatpost collar
Is the 2008 stiffer??

What to do????????????

Hang onto the 2007 and treasure it. They made a number of changes to the 2008 which I would tend to consider a slight downgrade in order to make more room for the flagship ASR-C. The 2008 has a less expensive aluminum alloy, less artistic welding, and a larger diameter seatpost.

here's the "official differences" according to Yeti

"New tubeset (bigger, but same weight). Everything else the same. Made in Taiwan,
lower price. Available November 2007. 30.9mm seatpost"

I personally disagree with the downgrade comment, but I also wouldn't jump on getting an 08, just to have the "latest model"....

No need to spend another 600dollars on something that might not be better:eekster:
+ I really like the looks of the 2007 better than the 2008
