If you have to maintain CPR certification for your USFS chainsaw cert or for National Mountain Bike Patrol, here's a way to get your CPR cert for FREE!! "CPR Saturday" will be on March 12 and Asheville-area American Red Cross offices will be sponsoring this free service to the public. They hoping to be able to offer a full Adult CPR certification course as well as the new Citizens CPR. (Citizens CPR is a non-certification course that teaches compression only CPR and is about 1 hour long. This DOES NOT replace our compression and breaths CPR course.)
So, check with your local (Asheville, Brevard, Hendersonville) ARC office and save yourself about $30 on re-cert... An added bonus is that the ARC just changed their certification to TWO years instead of one...
