Our friends at Binary Bicycles are donating a Chuparosa titanium mountain bike frame ($1,699 value) for the benefit of the Arizona Trail Association. Their most popular and versatile frame design makes for an ideal ride on the Arizona Trail. With quick but stable geometry, the Chuparosa is at home climbing twisty singletrack or descending fast rocky trail.
Raffle tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100 and can be purchased online here.
100% of proceeds benefit the Arizona Trail Association's Gear Girls program, which uses mountain biking, trail work and snow sports to build confidence, outdoor competence, community and character in young women grades 4-8. Girls learn practical skills in trail building, mountain biking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing while absorbing lessons in mindfulness, teamwork, and determination that will prepare them for life's bigger challenges.
The Chuparosa can accommodate 27.5″ or 29″ wheels and tires. It's designed to run 120 mm up to 140 mm forks, and the rear dropout spacing is 148 mm boost. With sliding dropouts you can build this out as a singlespeed or geared bike. The design of the bottom bracket area has received a lot of attention to make it stiff while the rear triangle maintains that legendary titanium compliance and feel. This is a bike that pedals efficiently, climbs great, and accelerates into a smooth comfortable ride. To learn more about the Chuparosa, click here.
Raffle tickets will be on sale through September 12th, and the winner will be announced on September 13th. Current production time for Binary Bicycles is four to five months, and the raffle winner will be put in the production queue immediately upon receiving your preferred size…unless you fit one of the limited edition frames they have in stock, in which case you'll get instant gratification. Raffle is for a frame only. We encourage you to work with your favorite local bike shop to build it out with all of your preferences.
