it's true - 13 species in Coconino county alone, with extra species along the mogollon & the white mountains.....they are going off right now, and have a small window of blooming......woods cnyn lake seems to be the epicenter, as the flowers from the coconino plateau blend with the white mtns & the tonto region. top pic is Corallorhiza maculata from Schultz pass and second is Calyso bulbosa from an undisclosed location near Flag............enjoy! all pics by Denise Garro....reference: "the wild orchids of arizona & new mexico - Coleman" Steve Garro, Coconino Cycles.
