too?
My brother and I are pretty new to Mtn. biking out here in cali... I did a little in dallas and he was a pretty good rider out there.
So we are both out here now and trying to learn all the trails, going to a new one everyday, or every other day, and it seems each time there is a story to tell... One day it will be almost riding into a hole on a few hundred foot tall bridge, the next, running into methheads stuck in there jeep on the trail... the next total wipeouts in snow or creeks, even running into a pissed off bull that didn't want us going down the trail. Yestardays experince was a fun one... we went out to **** 8 and decided to ride to the dam. after going down the greasy single track it dumped us onto a beach... one that bikes don't really like riding on... so in our attempt to find the trail we thought we lost we picked up the bikes and walked through the woods... got to the road and went toward the dam, it said state park blah blah blah... we rode straight to the dam with no issues and as I began to enter it a fat guy dressed up like a power ranger chp ran out... you shouldn't be here how did you get here... like how could we have breeched their super duper security... I told him we followed a trail sign... at about this time his back up is rolling up in a toyota aveo, which was pretty intimidating mind you, and they are getting on there radios, "roger we have to bikers that breeched the gates, over." it was about this time that we noticed there badges have the word super written on them. I said we can just go dude, "no you must be escorted." so we had to get followed out by the toyota aveo and stick to the road. Just having gotten out of the Marines I understand that you get bored on guard but I also understand what is a threat and what isn't, and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to blow up the dam with the water in my camelback. anyway, we road up the other way and that is some fast single track, we will be going back out there again today to get a little more used to the new bikes.
