I'm currently on Renthal fatboy lites with a 40mm rise which i like, but could use a little bit more rise. I've been searching for weeks and cant find any 35mm handlebars with a 50mm rise. Do you guys know of any?

I finally resolved to pulling the trigger on a 31.6 stem and either the spank 800 race or deity highsides until i realized how much more they weighed. Might be my only option though. Crazy how a smaller diameter setup nets more weight

35mm Clamp standard is still fairly new to the consumer market, really only been around for a few years and companies are just not starting to build out their product lines with it (e.g. Deity Components just entered the race this year).

50mm rise is not really a "standard" rise as most companies will focus on the "norms";
Flat, 10-15mm, 20mm, 30mm and 40mm. Anything more than that the MTB communities sees more as a "bmx" type riser.

Unfortunately i'm maxed out on spacers on both of my bikes : ( I'll check out the Enves, i didnt see them in my searches, or maybe ruled them out based on price. I've only tried one set of carbon 35mm and found them a little harsh (bonty line pro). The fatbar lites i run are only 270g. I dont care too much about weight, but when spending money to upgrade parts, i *hope* to decrease weight.

Have you tried finding a stem with a +\- 5 degree rise? I believe that will get you another 5-10mm, depending on the length.

I agree, just got some spank spoon 60mm rise bars at 31.8 and they're pretty awesome.

80mm... Definitely gives a different feel and it's all good! Don't put as much pressure on the hands allowing more relaxed control and movement while keeping weight balanced.

Trek has the Bontrager Kovee Pro stem that is a 13 degree rise in a 35mm. I’m debating between that or going to 31.8.

wow, good find! Ill do some research on it. Maybe i'll just go that route and another set of renthals for now (which cant seem to be beat for price/functionality/weight)

Anything new in this department?? I'm on a 35mm diameter stem but also need another 50+mm of rise on an 800mm carbon bar. I'm fine with going back to 31.8 stem (50mm). Angled stems aren't ideal as they drop the reach further, which is one of the reasons I'm trying to get a higher rise bar.

Enve seems to be the only carbon option. I have some Diety Highsides on my DJ which are nice but 760mm (tho 80mm isn't enough there and I had to use a gooseneck stem).

Curious to see if anyone else has this dialed in. My ideal is a 50mm stem with 60mm of rise carbon bars at 800mm width.

Maybe a new 35 diameter stem thats 60mm but with 17d a rise would cut it? Right now I have 35mm rise bars and a 35diameter 50mm stem with zero rise. 25 to 30mm of spacers under the stem.

While it will allow your bars to get higher, it basically just allows you to get more spacers under the stem without it overflowing over the top. That's all good, but it also reduces your reach etc which is the advantage of higher rise bars rather than spacers and a low profile clamp like this.

Unless you roll your bars forward so they are perpendicular to the ground, ANY RISE will reduce reach. At the bars or at the stem, reach is lost no matter what unless you roll the bars forward to increase the reach. Which guess what, same thing can be achieved by a longer stem as well.

The steering axis (the real frame reach) is fixed (unless you have a frame with adjustable geometry). Wherever your hand position ends up relative to the steering axis, it doesn't matter how you accomplish it.

Its been a while. I think I was a bit confused. Yeah so now I'm on a 50mm zero rise stem with 20mm of spacers. This new stem in a 60mm length (to account for the extra rise/lost actual reach) and extra spacers would get me closer to my desired grip position.
