10 spd crank sets that are out n about compatible with regular 9spd cassettes/chains ? Or are the 10 spd chain rings to narrow ? Ive noticed that the small n mid rings are larger , and seems as though there a bit cheaper.

Anyone have that set up ?

Yes, you can use a 10 speed crank and chainrings with a 9 speed chain. The reason for the different size rings is because most 10 speed cassettes are 11-36, not 11-32/34 (though those are available).
