Are all four-bolt crank patterns the same?

I'm trying to buy a used e13 guide, which would go on a set of truvativ hussefelts, and know that the bash ring is a four bolt pattern, so does this mean it will deffinately fit? The guy had it on a pair of deity cranks before if that helps at all...

Yes. If both are four bolt, it'll be fine. The one exception is the XTR M 960 crank, which had a silly propritary pattern. All others that I know of, and certainly the two you're considering are 104mm BCD.

If you want to get techincal, the granny gear uses a smaller bolt pattern.
