That's the antithesis of mountain biking right there. Sitting in front of a computer under fluorescent lights, clicking away at the keyboard. So how do you cope, besides drugs and alcohol? :p

Mountain biking and target shooting...
^^^ we have a winner!! ^^^

I'm lucky! I've got a nice indoor shooting range on the way home from work. AND i live right next to some really good singletrack, for when I get home from the range. :D

Ugh, back to the farm tomorrow. I have a red stapler, my own silent rebellion. My iPod gets me through the the day, occassional glimpses of one of the few attractive 'items' in the office doesn't hurt, keeping my head down to avoid the constant 'dumb' that is occurring around me is a necessity. I look at the breakrooms as those downhill sections you just want to bomb down as fast as possible, slow even a bit and you risk letting that rock throw you off line, or that rut grab you and chuck you OTB - the other employees in the breakroom and their mindless conversations are those rocks and ruts. Calling in sick and going for a ride tomorrow?

Yeah, but lucky for me I have pretty chill bosses and coworkers, and my office is right next to a 25 mile trail network. If the weather is nice, I'll trail ride on my lunch break.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Don't know what I'd do if I didn't have my earbuds in. Pandora/Grooveshark bring me through, 'til I can eat dinner and ride to forget the monotony of every day at work. :)

I am a newbie here, my name is Andrea. I work in an office, at my husband's and our business pretty much 7 days a week, 8 hours a day. I don't like it all too well (I hate sitting still) but working out at the gym for an hour 3 days a week, running with Team13 (a group associated with the Y in Evansville IN) 3 times a week, biking and rollerblading, kick boxing every chance I get, it all keeps my sanity pretty much in tact, or at least what's left of it

Rat cheer. Nine hours a day, five days a week - architecting.

Usually not so bad - after work and weekends is good enough. But I'm recovering from a knee injury, so I'm limited to roads & rail trail mostly. Now THAT is enough to drive me nuts.

If I didn't have to sit in this cube all day I probably wouldn't need to drink as much beer.

I'm stuck in my cube till 5:00 5 days a week. Bike ride to work saves some sanity but it's a shame that it's only 1mile to work.

Ride a longer loop to get there. My ride is 23 miles but if it were < 5 I'd probably ride at least 10 each way.

I do in a fairly big one. Every once in while I like playing the prarie-dog effect. Make a very loud noise and then observe as everyone jumps up and looks over the top of their cube to see what is going on.

mtbr and mtbnj to get me through the day. If I rode to work it would be 9 miles each way, but there are no showers here and I sweat way too much to forgo it. 1 mile from the office is a nice trail network that is closed to mountain biking. It's a double kick in the balls....
