Any of youse guys using the 661 Pressure suits?

More particularly the Assault Pressure Suit.

Wadda ya think of 'em?

I'm looking for some lightweight armor, as I took a thump to the chest & shoulder this past weekend.

Pain doesn't go away as fast @ 33. :(

I use the one in this pic:

I like it, pretty light weight, comfy, not too hot. ANd it has saved me from some puncture wounds for sure... I am a "bleeder" and can't afford a deep puncture wound so armor is a must for me when riding aggressively, especially way out in the backwoods, etc..

I like my Assault suit, decent price, nice and light but does feel protective. If you can, try to try one on first, I ordered a large online but could PROBABLY have squeezed into a medium and have it be a little bit more snug. I have taken a couple of over the bars to the shoulders, and it definitely helped....

Jenson, $70...

Yeah, I noticed it in that pic and its what made me think about asking.

I don't need anything too heavy (or hot), and the price is right.

I think the Assault Pressure Suit fits the bill as I already have Roach arm/elbows that I'm happy with.

Thanks.

How hot are those pressure suits???
I use mine here in san antonio tx, you sweat but is not bad. any way I rather be hot and sweaty than hurt, at 43yrs **** hurt more and heal slower, so I always wear fullbody condom.
I just got a pressure suit from BEYONDBIKES.COM for a $100,very good price.
I odered a M ,but I am not sure If I should ordered a S insted.....
Ya I should get mine from jenson tommarrow and am I can wait to see how itll fit and protect.

I use one of the full ones, it has saved me more than once. Its kinda hot, not too bad, although a lot of time I think I'd prefer one like the one pictured

p.s. that is a crazy fun looking drop
After doing some reading up I kinda did an about-face on this one.

I managed to get a Hoots Vorpal for the same price as the Assault Pressure suit (props to [email protected] for that).

It's a little meatier than the Pressure Suit, although probably hotter too, but rib and chest protection looks better and that's where I caught the bars last week.

Will be breaking 'em in @ Snowshoe, WV next week.

Thanks for the input brothas.

I'm buying one in prep for my Whistler trip next month. What size are you guys that ordered large but felt that it is a little too big? I'm 6'3" and about 210lbs and was planning on getting the xl. Also whats the dif (if any really) between the pressure suit and the Pressure Suit SP-1?

I have the SP-1 (Steve Peat model). The main difference that I saw between my SP1 and a friends Pressure suit was the removable plastic piece that goes into the chest pad on the Pressure suit. I guess it is extra padding, but it seemed cheesey. It was bent and made it look like he had a rack!

I believe the only other difference may be in the extended padding covering the bicep area (not really 100% sure though).

I'm 6' 195lbs and have a Large SP-1 suit. I feel it is too tight for me in the chest.

Watch the sizing though, my friend had to send his back twice because they were tagged wrong.

I would say you need XL. However...If you decide on the SP1 in a Large...I will sell you mine for $70.00...worn 3 or 4 times max.

Good luck.
