Anyone tried touring on an EMD or Air 9?

Panniers etc. Would like to ride the Great Divide Trail,but would rather not buy a new bike. Any thoughts? Thanks,Harry

Me doing a bikepacking tour in WI Chequamegon Nat Forest last summer. I used an Old Man Mountain rear rack
