I wish shimano had two crank models, one with a 47.5 mm chainline and a normal/narrow Q-factor used for XC/All mountain use. The second would be a crank with a 50 mm chainline and a wider Q-factor so people with longer travel frames and wider chainstays would have the necessary clearance.
Really, they need to design the Deore, LX, XT, and XTR cranks to be the first and the Hone, and Saint to be the later. Does this make senss to most people?
