Anyone running a pushed DHX on a SS?

Hey guys,

I'm thinking of sending in my DHX 5.0 to Push Industries. I heard a lot of good things about pushed shocks. Just wondering if anyone has done so already on a Intense Slopestlye and how the ride compares afterwards. Was it worth the extra $200?

Bump....'cause I have the same question. Kinda underwhelmed with the DHX in its current configuration.

Responses more specific than "love it" or "hate it" would be appreciated:thumbsup:
I would only do it if they are resuming the MX tune (heard great things) but the website says it has been out of stock for a while.
The MX tune should be available in a few weeks. I just got off the phone with Jimmy.
I had mine PUSHed shortly after I first got my 08 frame. Would I recommend it? YES!!! The biggest difference was that I didn't feel the suspension bottom out like I did with the stock DHX. And I was using the same spring before and after.

Get it Pushed, one way or another. If you can convince the Mrs. Duzit to let you spend baby $$ on the MX tune then I'd go for that, then your bike would be like mine even more....

What I noticed from stock DHX5 to Pushed MX Tune Vanilla:
1. Less pedal strikes - new shock doesn't seem to give up it's travel as fast, bike rides higher in it's travel with same spring rate
2. Better performance on repeated hits - less spiking
3. Bike is more stable at speed, doesn't skip around as much
4. SS lost a little "pop", not as playful, but I'll trade it for the 3 things above, related to #5 below
5. Speed sensitive rebound - rebound feels slow bouncing around on the street and in some slow speed situations, but on the trail at speed feels great.
6. I played with the HS and LS compression adjustments on the MX tune a bit, but found the Push fatory settings to be perfect for all around riding and went back to them. On shuttle type days I back off the LS about 1/4 to half a turn because I don't care how it pedals and want uber-plush.

Now quit stalling a put together our Whistler/PNW tour....
