Curious about the sizing.. Race Face pads usually run big in size, anyone who's ever owned or tried on those Roach or Race Face Rally pads know what i'm talkin bout. Just wonderin if these things were made for giants also. Thanks.

I've been running those for a couple of months now. Mine were wayyy small, especially compared to the Strait's I usually wear. Luckily I was able to sell my Large pair to friend and ordered another set in XL. I'm surprised at the small size since I'm not exactly built like a Samoan :p
Haha thanks. Of course I just ordered some smalls.. - but I'm a skinny mofo. I wore kyle strait smalls, so i just figured..

Are they arite or what? Comfort level?
I found this.. pretty dialed chart for anyone curious about what size raceface armor they should get shoppin online.

I wore Lg 661's and the Lg RF were killing me. I barely could stretch the strap far enough to get the velcro to attach. I've got some fairly spindly legs too so I have no idea what the bigger guys are gonna do. The best thing with these pads is that they have a much lower profile than the Strait's. I can actually wear them comfortably under my riding pants. The rigid cap is pretty nice too. I got to "test" mine last month and was very happy to have some extra protection  As for comfort, they're very similar to the Strait's.
Awesome. Thanks dude. See you on the trails?
You in Phoenix? I'm out at SoMo a few times a week, riding a black Firebird with green Atomlab wheels.
Yup. Will look for ya. I've been meaning to hit up the wed shuttle, but I always work wed til 3pm. I can't stand riding somo on sundays.. too many hikers.. but I've been jonesin for some dh action. Been doin most of my riding at the pit lately.
Yeah, SoMo is gonna be pretty hectic for the next couple of months. I didn't ride until noon last Sun. and it was still a madhouse getting down the road. During the week I have to ride in the dark (morning or evening) for some of the ride. I work from 8 to 5...
How's the actual knee protection on those. Is it semi-soft like a strait? Or more rigid like the tomcats?
It's got a bit of foam padding with a hardshell for the main protection. The cap is inside the fabric so it doesn't get hung up on anything. Can't remember how the tomcats are setup...

Tomcats are just a rigid cup with fairly thick foam padding behind it, slid inside a neoprene sleeve. The cup is easily removed and inserted. But its definitely not at all flexible like the Straits, thicker and stiffer.
Gotcha. I think I tried those on when I first got the Strait's. Kinda more like a skate pad feel right?

Yep, basically, little nicer than a normal skatepad, nothing that fancy though.

As far as KS661's go, is it better to order the larger size or the medium size if you are undecided?
Will they stretch out over time and slide down my leg during rides if i order the large?
