I checked out Broad Mountain Loop last Sunday, was ride-able on a fatbike but had to bail cuz my friends do not have fatbikes. But I am jonesing to get back, and want to try again this Sunday, but I heard they got a lot of snow up there, is this true?

I am learning that some snow is fun, some is not on a fatbike, and I'm hoping it's similar to what I saw last Sunday. But I was there a few weeks prior and it was not ride-able, don't want to repeat that

Hey Jared,

We received a good 6 inches of snow the other day. At the higher, shaded elevations, it's not unlikely to run into a foot of snow at times... Hope this helps!

About another 6 inches and we are forecast for more rain and snow starting tomorrow evening

I drive through here every day. Stopped at the parking areas on the Broad Mt today, and the double track from the lots are still covered with a few inches of ice and snow. So it's probably unridable up there. Even when the trails look clear from the parking lots, the farther reaches of the loop that are shaded or north facing will still be unridable, probably well into spring.
