It's all in the perspective. If you knew them in the day and were into riding techy terrain, you might see the beauty in the design. I remember seeing team riders on them when I was just a lad, entered in my first-ever race.
This is not an endorsement (I have another brand I endorse) but it's interesting how their design was a bit ahead of it's time; it solves two 29er problems: standover and fork crown clearance. It's almost as if that design was meant for 29er.
