Something that makes noise. Maybe a cable and when the circuit gets broken by cutting or pulling apart, by a thief, it sounds off.

That style lock used to be used ay stores selling electronics or expensive goods.

Sounds complex and spendy, doesn’t it?

This is a good idea. Just heat shrink a wire inside with the cable. Cut the wire, trigger the alarm. Could run on a 9V battery hidden inside the locking mechanism. The circuitry would be really simple... hmmm.

lock your bike lock to where youll take your breaks. that way you dont have to carry it all day

For the last 20 years I mostly ride after work. my bikes are on the back of my car for 12 hours a day a 3 or 4 days a week. Never had an issue.
I wish it could always be that way.. where are you located?

Here in CA.. even locked bikes left on a car that long are eventually stolen.. almost a guarantee.
