54 years old and my arthritis is severe and the cortisone shots are becoming increasing ineffective. The plan is to get the surgery around the New Year.

Did you have an old scaphoid fracture that didn't heal properly?

I don't know much about that type of surgery, but I know an excellent hand surgeon in San Leandro if you are interested.

Nah, just a lot of wear and tear from 40+ years of skateboarding and mtn biking. My surgeon is the head of Kaiser ortho so I feel good there.
