I thought it was a repainted Mantis until I saw the kickstand mount!
I noticed that bike too. It's an interesting looking frame, but based on the low-end components I'd guess it was not much of a bike in it's day.

Yeah, that does look quite similar to a Mantis X-frame/Valkyrie. The tubes for the chainstays and seatstays are too large as well. I wonder if R. Cunningham had a hand in that design...kinda like how Gary Fischer did Cinelli's bikes.

Those where fairly common in Sweden. There where higher end models of it I think. Its a heavy bike and ugly bike.

Do you still have your Alenax MTB ? You could add this to your weird bike collection.
I finally sold it (just last week). I sold it for what I paid for it, so I was happy enough.

I think I'm going to stick to buiing bikes that I actually ride. ;)

I've used one in '90.
There where different models and the top was with columbus nivacrom tubing and full deore xt group set, rigid fork.
It was called RAGNO that in Italian means spider.
Nice project but a little bit heavy in comparison as classic prestige tubing bikes.
I have and adv somewhere of the top one.
Bye
