I think if you are using the appropriate tire for the ride conditions failures like you are mentioning are very rare. Conversion ust horror stories like this are much more common. I do burp 5-10psi if I get sideways on a jump and land to flat, but that really has only happened a couple of times on a rear tire. In the situations that it happened a dh tire might have been more appropriate than the 2.4 enduro ust I was running.

That said I unseat tubed tires with simillar frequency. I had a front tubed 2.3 unseat on me and bulge the tube a couple of weeks back. Another off camber and poorly landed jump. No crash, but I did stop quick to deflate the tube before it ruptured ;)
