myself and my friend mark (Alloy: on the black fly in all the DJ pics i post) are going to be up meeting namaSSte and his posse up in whistler next week on thurs thru sunday. i know it's a week away but we are leaving in a couple days on a road trip and i will not have internet access after we leave.
we will be spending most of our time in whistler but would love to have somone show us around the north shore on one of those days. we are very interested in checking out the hamster wheel in NWD2. or some pimp stuff of the like..... so who wants to show us around on some fun trails???
or who just wants to hook up for some fun riding in whistler???

Damn I wanted to hook up with you guys, but it does not look likely that my bike is going to be created for me by that time. The bookies have even odds that my bike will be ready before the second coming of Christ. (Sorry Noel, not bitter at you, bitter at myself for selling my other rig BEFORE having the new bike!) Hope you guys have a blast and remember to pack a camera. Lots of cool stuff you will want to take photos of.

Hey check these guys out, they have rides set-up already: http://www.johnhenrybikes.com/schedule.asp

The Dh section doesn't seem to be updated, however under All-mountain they have Fromme rides (this mountain is a must) & under Alien they have Seymour rides (also a must, especially CBC).

i haven't been excited like this since i still believed in santa..........
huh??? what, EXACTLY, are you talking about? Santa's real. Gotta be, how else can I explain a trip to Whistler next week and the fact the 10 minutes ago, I ordered a new Litespeed road bike from Colorado Cyclist? This house of cards can't last long....:D

glad to hear about the crew ride. when are you actually heading out?

Ouch...

At least you can be staying in shape on your road bike while you wait. I'm willing to hit the Shore on the hardtail and may even try Whistler again with it. The secret seems to be stay to the slower trails so you don't get beaten to a pulp by the braking bumps (which are everywhere).

Is racing seaon over yet? Have you been out on any XC trails?

leave it to me to confuse the situation. I meant when does the car leave Cali for the whole trip?

Did a road ride on Sunday, covered 100km. Have not been riding XC at all.

Racing season is getting to me a bit. Was in strong contention to win the nationals, then Dad smacked the wall pretty much head on @ 100mph. Concussion, broken hand, cracked ribs, needless to say instead of racing I was with him in the trauma ward in Portland. Have a race in Spokane in 3 weeks time, then I am off of racing until October.

Will sit in a corner, pouting until my new bike arrives. Actually I have a major amount of work to do on Dads kart that he wrecked as he wants to be back racing by October (if the hand is healed properly).

Sorry to hear that...

I hope he heals quickly.

I'll be joining the road bike training brigade soon myself. Any interest in hitting some XC trails around Squamish?

The dank trail

Let me tell you, you are going to love Zachdank's trail. It rivals anything on the shore. It will be interesting to show someone new our playground. I will be out on sunday to throw it down with everybody!!

No problem Trevor - I totally understand. Second coming of Christ - well, we'll be sooner than that for sure (mind you, he seems to be coming everytime something's going wrong with the world).

Anyway, working on another production update for early next week. Things are defnitely going and going well - just that the initial delay put us behind about 6-8 weeks as you know. Sucks for sure, but now parts are flying out of tha machines! There are just tons of parts, but basically most of the parts for the rear ends and the intermediary linkages are done. I'll be picking up most of the paint samples tomorrow (Thursday) evening and we're finalizing the decal colours, paterns, and sizes on Satuday, so that they can be ordered next week. Then, it's just welding, heat treating and painting :) Actually, that takes way less time than the machining, which is a good thing I guess!

WCH: I'll be on vacation from the 7th until the 13th mostly up at Whistler (and probably doing some last minute running around in Vancouver). send me an e-mail from the contact section of the Knolly Bikes site and we can plan to at least meet for a beer on Saturday afternoon.
