Hey guys,

Anybody been riding with all the rain in the last few days? I haven't been out at all. I hope we get a break soon. Definetly have to jump on the trainer today. YUCK!:madman: Have a good one.

Doubtful

The ground is way past saturation point. It would be kinda irresponsible to be out on the trails given conditions. With that said, someone is probably out there making a mess of the trails as we speak.

Well, I guess I was out there making a mess then. But the "The Old Thursday night ride" is mostly old mining roads and quad trails w/ some pave` also. As far as ST, none. I must say though, the riding is really awesome when it's this wet out. The quads have a couple puddles that are axle deep right now and let me tell ya'... If you want to have fun, It doesn't get much better than flying around a long, blind turn in 3-7 and standing and from out of nowhere comes that puddle! The momentum killer! BTW, it's not easy hitting the wall of water in 3-7 and trying to pedal out the other side. Fun as hell though! Fahn
Ps. did you check out hubbardbicycleclub.com ? They're planning on another 12-14 mile'r.

Rain's been pretty hit or miss here in the western part of the state, so the riding's been the same.

No rain at all on Saturday allowed me to get out early Sunday before the waters flowed again. Trails were a-ok barely a puddle or wear spot to speak of.

Hey Guys,
I definetly stay away from the single track like merlis and LSP. I don't ride much except quad trails when its wet. I figure riding quad trails to be ok considering they never give them a rest and a bike does nothing compared to quads. Yeah, hitting those puddles at high speed is fun. I saw my nephew hit one a few weeks back going about 20 mph. The wake was like a tidal wave. I have to put some fenders on though, getting serious case of swamp as$! Seriously though, I stick to the polelines and aylesworth dam. A lot of high creek crossings. Have a good one guys!

some trals are a little wet here...

..others are actually in pretty good shape. That's the benefit of lots of rocks! I took these a few minutes ago with my phone while out walking with my dogs. Other then where streams had popped up the trails were not muddy at all. This was around the back of Pisgah.

Broad-sweeping generalization there, Bob. My g.f. and I had an awesome ride at Wissahickon on Sunday afternoon. Sure, there was *some* mud but, overall, the parts of the park that we rode were truly no worse for wear after our passing through. Sand + rock = wet & slippery - but stable. Water flows through like a sieve.

Color me irresponsible.

I went out yesterday for the first time in 2 weeks. I was out on the ST near Mt Top. Over all the trails were okay. A little moist and a little more rocky. The rock paths in the streams were moved.
