Heading to Black Mt this week with wife. Want to ride DuPont with her for some intermediate trails one day . Then I would like to ride without her a day on some challenging and fun trails for me. Any thoughts on both days or one?

I did this loop with my girlfriend back in April and it was a blast. The whole experience between the long climbs and the creek crossings made everything as a whole very fun.

Or if you want something shorter, do a quick loop and hit Ridgeline on the way back. Everyone loves Ridgeline.

For a more difficult ride, that area has a lot to choose from. Green's Lick at Bent Creek is a lot of fun and a bit more challenging than Dupont but not overly difficult. Of course Pisgah is the first choice for most if you want to be challenged...check out Black Mountain and Kitsuma. Be careful if you're riding alone.
