Hey all,

I recently pulled the trigger on an XXL V2 Sentinel and am struggling with the fit.

I’m 6’6” with a 36” inseam. I have a set of ANVL bars with a 35mm rise and a couple of small spacers under the stem.

My old bike is a 2018 Guerrilla Gravity Smash (size 4, basically XXL) with a massive stack of 673mm (versus 649 on the Sentinel). Both bikes have similar reach.

I’ve ridden the Sentinel a few times now and when climbing I feel a bit too hunched over when climbing and I’m feeling pressure points in the palms of my hands. And when descending I feel like it’s harder to lift the front over large rocks/roots or bunny hop over obstacles.

Any other tall folks dealing with this? Did you add some more spacers? That’s probably what I’ll try next but don’t want to affect the reach too much given the steep head tube angle.
Looking at other bike geometry it seems like most bikes are getting lower stack heights these days. Even the new carbon Guerrilla Gravity smash has a very similar stack as the Sentinel. Maybe I just need to keep riding it and get used to it….

Yup! 6'5 and 37inseam.

I had the same problems but after adding the DMR bikes low stack riser stem and the 50mm Deity riser bar it's a freaking awesome bike.
