A fellow New England rider has a pair up for sale at a decent price that I've asked to see more photos of.

Were these bars geared more towards the DH scene? Will they provide decent shock absorption - at least an improvement over my current Titec Hellbents?

They are a pretty decent width at 24" - most of the other old or used Ti bars I see are only 22" wide and that's just too short for my taste.

I welcome any feedback you guys and gals can provide.

Thanks!

Mark

I do

I have a set. Yes they are a little stiffer than my Titec 151 bars but much more comfy shape. Watch out, some of them I hear were not bent even from side to side!?

mine were uneven when i got them (gee, no wonder they were cheap).... so i sawed them down and put them on my fixed gear. they are heavy and no more comfy than the aluminum bars that were on there before. mine also have amost no sweep.

basically, i think they are junk and you'd be better served with a normal riser bar. but maybe i just got a bad bar...

in my search for a ti bar i just heard of this option today.

no idea on the price (but i will email them shortly)... but i am very interested in the custom option as well.

I have a set among my unused parts. They are heavy, not noticeably compliant, narrow and though mine are okay, I've heard repeatedly that they are often bent unevenly. They also require a shim.

I bought mine direct at the closeout price of $35, so I would at least compare the reasonable price to that.

I've never heard that, can't imagine the reasoning behind it and have had two sets of CF bars that I have been perfectly happy with riding rigid (especially the one that is half the weight and way more compliant than the WB Ti bar).

The worst I can say about CF bars that they still aren't going to make you forget that you are riding a rigid bike.
