Anyone ?

I'm planning to purchase a set o xt disc brakes, but dont want to change hubs. Maybe someone has some experience with xt bakes (the new model) and hayes discs.

I'm running a Hayes 8" disc on the front with Shimano Deores. No problem at all. I think the braking surface of the Hayes rotor is slighty narrower than the Shimano, but I haven't noticed any decrease in power or modulation what so ever.

Typically I run my Shimano's with Avid rotors. I believe they dissapate heat a little better and are slightly more durable.

I have a new set of xt levers and calipers and I run them w/160mm hayes mud cutter rotors w/plenty of power and no squeaking. Ride on.
Thanks all for anserws. I'm thinking now if I can go with my current hayes rotors ? Most likely xt pads have different contact area and wont match a used rotor, so I will have to get a new ones.
