You can get the XT disc set, everything but the rotors for about $120 on ebay. They're new and pre-bled, ready to go.

ive used almost all of the avid/sram setups and moved to the 775 xt's a year ago. Huge stop power, incredible modulation, and way quiet. The best setup i've used so far. Set it and forget it!

I picked up a set of elixir r brakes for $69.93 an end with 160mm rotors from my local REI, they have some clearance 09 brakes floating around. Then the next day got a set of shimano M775 for $150 not sure what I am going to do them but for the price I could not pass them up.
