If the one online won't load for you, next time you go you can stop at the front desk and they have printed maps there. FYI, they do want you to sign a waiver to ride there, which they call a mountain pass. Costs $25 and they give you a $25 gift card. I got the DD pass at the recent wine fest, and since I don't drink wine I did the mountain pass sign up and used the gift card for beer at the bar.
Not sure if you mean the markings were tough to follow, or if the trails themselves are tough. The trails are tough, ride it clockwise, counter would be a bear. There really aren't a ton of trail options to take. The first time I was there it took us forever to make the loop. It's a fun trail system, but it takes a few rides to get the feel for it.
